Visitors are invited to explore this field of science via four major archaeological and historical sites, where they are sure to learn and have fun while diving into 5,000 years of vestiges. Enjoy an archaeological adventure with four different approaches: dig, reconstruct, conserve, interpret.
Dig Through the Past The Pointe-du-Buisson Archaeological Park promises an experience of discovery where you will be initiated to the fascinating world of archaeological digs! This site, one of the richest in north-eastern , has many different educational activities, such as public digs in August with an archaeologist and laboratory analysis.
Reconstruct a Way of Life At the Droulers-Tsiionhiakwatha Archaeological Site Interpretation Center, explore impressive reconstructed longhouses near the largest known Iroquois village from the 15th century in
Quebec. Dive into the heart of Iroquois traditions and life. During the summer’s theme weekends in August, the Centre will welcome professional archaeologists for digs in which visitors can participate.

Interpret The Battle of the Châteauguay National Historic Site unveils the battle that was fought in 1813. Visit the interpretation centre on soldiers’ living conditions and take part in interactive, educational activities. July 24 and 25, you can watch a captivating historical re-enactment: shooting demonstrations, meat soup and militiamen cookie tastings.
